Keloid scar treatment

keloid scar

Keloids are common and flatten well with a series of steroid injections.

Keloid scars and hypertrophic scars are formed when the healing process becomes disorganized and tissue grows outside the edge of the injury,.. The results can be devastating for patients. This type of scarring can be difficult to treat because any further trauma at the injury/scar site can make the scar worse. This is because the body’s injury response continues to over compensate.
We can effectively reduce and diminish the appearance of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.  We inject the tissue with steroids and sometimes freeze with the cyroprobe. It will require a series of treatments but good results can be obtained.

Injections with Dr Charlson are £250 for first treatment and consultation.Subsequent treatments are £150

We also use cyrotherapy at our East Riding of Yorkshire Clinic situated in Welton near Hull
